At VeraBank, we offer a full range of commercial and personal banking services, with a strong focus on relationship-based banking. What makes us unique is our commitment to truly understanding the goals and challenges of local businesses and tailoring financial solutions to help them succeed. We bring the resources of a strong regional bank with the personalized service of a community-focused partner.

How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?

While I’m not a business owner in the traditional sense, my role as a Commercial Banker is very entrepreneurial. It requires building strong relationships, earning trust, and driving growth within the community. My passion for economic development and supporting local entrepreneurs inspired me to take on this role, to help others start, grow, and sustain successful businesses.

How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?

VeraBank has been serving Texans for nearly 95 years, and I’ve been proud to serve the Hutto area for several years now. We chose Hutto because of its incredible growth, forward-thinking leadership, and strong sense of community. It’s a place where people are deeply invested in each other’s success, and that aligns perfectly with our values.

What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?

One of the most rewarding moments as a Commercial Banker was helping a local manufacturer secure financing to expand operations and create new jobs in our area. Seeing the direct impact our work can have on a business’s growth—and the broader community, is incredibly fulfilling.

What do you think makes the Hutto community special?

Hutto is a unique blend of small-town charm and big opportunity. The people here genuinely care, about their neighbors, their schools, and their local businesses. There's a strong spirit of collaboration, and that’s rare and powerful. It’s not just about doing business here; it’s about being part of something greater.

What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?

Get connected early, whether through the Hutto Chamber, city leadership, or local banks like VeraBank. This community wants to see you succeed, and there are tremendous resources available. Build relationships, stay visible, and don’t be afraid to ask for guidance. You’re not alone.

When you're not working, where can we find you around town?

You’ll often find me grabbing coffee at Lamppost or meeting friends for lunch at Jack Allen's or Casa Jalisco. I also love attending community events, especially anything hosted by the Chamber or local nonprofits. It’s a great way to stay connected and support what’s happening in Hutto.

Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?

We’re excited about continuing to grow our presence in Hutto and support more local businesses through tailored financial solutions. I’m also actively involved with several upcoming economic development initiatives and small business workshops, stay tuned for more opportunities to learn, network, and thrive together.
