Main Street in Hutto, Texas, now known as Downtown Hutto, has a rich history that reflects the growth and development of the town. Established in the late 19th century, Hutto was founded as a railroad town when the International-Great Northern Railroad arrived in 1876. The town was named after James Emory Hutto, a local rancher who donated land for the railroad.
