David Weekley Homes isn’t just a builder, it’s a legacy. With nearly 50 years in the industry and over $250 million donated to charity, they’re one of the largest private homebuilders in the U.S., known for their heart, integrity, and unmatched customer service. At Emory Crossing in Hutto, that legacy continues with their exclusive low-maintenance luxury townhomes, yes, you read that right: no more mowing in the Texas heat!
Each homebuyer receives a dedicated support team that includes a personal builder, a sales consultant, and a warranty rep, ensuring constant communication throughout the homebuying journey. And when you move in, you're not just getting a gorgeous home, you’re getting access to a resort-style pool, outdoor fitness center, playgrounds, pavilions, and a 2-mile hike and bike trail.

Tell us a little about your business. What do you offer, and what makes it unique?
At David Weekley Homes, we are one of the largest private builders in the United States. We have been in business for almost 50 years, and give over 30% of our profits to charity (over 250+ million so far). We also have personal builders that give weekly calls to our homebuyers, so when you buy a home from us, you have a whole team supporting you & in constant communication with you, from our builder to our sales consultant, and our warranty representatives.
At our Emory Crossing community in Hutto, we offer low maintenance luxury townhomes. This means you never have to mow the lawn again in the heat again! With services covering lawn care, and landscaping, maintenance-free living allows you to enjoy more time relaxing in your spacious new townhome or engaging in the activities you love within our amenity-filled community. We have a resort-style pool, 2 mile hike & bike trail, pavilions, playground, & outdoor fitness center.
How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?
My name is Katrina Gaidry, and while I am not a business owner, I am the primary Sales Consultant for our Emory Crossing community. I started my journey in real estate working at a mortgage loan office, then moved to real estate, and found my niche in new construction homes. Working at the loan office, I realized I wanted to be personally in contact with homebuyers, helping them through the journey of buying their home. I wanted a world beyond crunching numbers, but helping show homes & being there for people every step of the way.
How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?
David Weekley Homes has been in business 49 years (1976) and started in Austin during the 80's. As for myself, I have been in the real estate industry the last 4 years. I love working out of Hutto because there's lots of space, countryside, and potential. It reminds me of the quiet Central TX hill country I grew up in. The sunsets are also beautiful!
What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?
My most memorable moments every day are getting to walk by our homeowners, say hi to their families and dogs, and get to be a part of our tight-knit community.
What do you think makes the Hutto community special?
It's like city living in the quiet countryside. There's plenty of convenient places to shop, eat, and get groceries, and you're usually just 30 minutes away via toll form any part of Austin. While growing, it is not as developed as the inner city, so it still feels smaller and tight knit.
What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?
Join networking groups & meet as many people as you can!
When you're not working, where can we find you around town? (Favorite coffee, food, or hangout spots?)
I love Lamp Post Coffee in downtown Hutto.
Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?
We have our LAST phase of townhomes, which are the only townhomes in Hutto. If you want to see what low maintenance living is all about, come on over! 435 Emory Crossing Blvd, Hutto, TX, 78634
