We asked each Best of Hutto winner to answer a few questions so that the community could get to know them better. Here's what Blue Goat Marketing had to say:

Tell us a little about your business. What do you offer, and what makes it unique?

I own a digital marketing agency that offers lead generation services such as website design, SEO, Google Ads, Facebook ads, etc to businesses looking for more calls and leads. What makes us unique is that we spend time with every person putting together a custom marketing plan that fits their exact industry, location, and budget. We actually steer business owners away from most of our services if we feel it won't get them the best ROI in their industry.

How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?

Always loved businesses but was taught to find security in a salary somewhere. It wasn't until my late 20's that I had started a successful pie shop in South Texas where I learned to love marketing and sales. After selling that cafe, I knew I wanted to get into marketing which led to us launching this agency almost 10 years ago.

How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?

We launched in 2016 while living in McAllen TX. Because the business was remote, we have the rare opportunity to live wherever we wanted. We love the Lord and prayed that he would take us where we could be connected to a local church and serve there. After looking across the country, we moved to round rock and then finally built a house here in Hutto in 2021 so we could be near Hutto Bible Church. Wonderful decision.

What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?

Teaching my son how to make websites so he could start working with me and learn business practices.

What do you think makes the Hutto community special?

You have the closeness of a major city with the culture of a small rural town. It has the best of both worlds.

What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?

I coach other marketing agency owners and tell them all the time that you must get good at sales and lead generation. Once you master those, you can launch anything you want.

For Hutto businesses specifically, give more than you take. Be the owner that everyone wants to work with because you give your expertise, wisdom, and services generously.

When you're not working, where can we find you around town? (Favorite coffee, food, or hangout spots?)

Any of the Mexican restaurants! We love Casa Jaliscos, Rio Grande, and now Chuys.

Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?
