If you’ve ever wondered where that smooth, rich aroma of fresh-roasted coffee is coming from in your neighborhood, it might just be Stone Stash Coffee. This small-batch coffee roaster, beloved by caffeine lovers across Williamson County, has made a name for itself with ethically sourced beans, air-roasted for a smoother, less bitter brew. Founded during the pandemic and hand-delivered straight to your door, Stone Stash isn’t just about coffee, it’s about community, craftsmanship, and that first perfect sip.

Tell us a little about your business. What do you offer, and what makes it unique?
We are a small-batch coffee roaster, based out of Round Rock. We pride ourselves on selecting raw, green beans that are ethically sourced and of the highest quality. We air roast our beans to produce a smoother and less bitter coffee taste than traditional drum roasted coffee. We also offer free local delivery so you can have fresh roasted coffee straight to your door!
How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?
Our journey started during the pandemic. My husband and I have always loved delicious, fresh roasted coffee from different regions around the world. But, we were tired of driving to far away roasters and spending too much money. We thought, hey we can do this ourselves, right? We started with a popcorn maker. That’s right. An old school air popping machine. And, it actually tasted pretty good. We soon switched over to a consumer grade air roaster, and have since been roasting on commercial grade roasters. Through all of the stages of our roasting, we have kept one common theme – air roasting. We find that air roasting beans produces a smoother, less acidic and much less bitter cup of coffee. We also strive to ethically source our beans and ensure the quality is of the highest standards.
How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?
We started Stone Stash Coffee in 2022. We live in Round Rock, but we hand deliver beans all over Williamson County, including Hutto. I have served on the Hutto Chamber Board since 2020 and love doing business in Hutto.

What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?
As a small business owner that strives to be an integral part of the community, I love hand delivering fresh roasted beans to my customers. One of my most memorable moments was when I was delivering a subscription order to one of my favorite customers and his wife wouldn't let me leave without one of her freshly baked gluten free muffins. They are the absolute sweetest couple and that small gesture honestly made my whole week!
What do you think makes the Hutto community special?
I think Hutto wants their small businesses to thrive. The residents of Hutto truly do support those business owners that work so hard to produce amazing products and services in the area.
What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?
It takes time. Nothing happens overnight. Work hard and be passionate about what you do and the community will take notice.

When you're not working, where can we find you around town? (Favorite coffee, food, or hangout spots?)
I love the environment at Hippo Social Club. Check them out if you haven't yet!
Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?
We are working on building a warehouse for our Roastery!! Stay tuned!
