Every visit helps support local charities, with tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of cans of food donated to the Hutto Resource Center food pantry so far. 🎉

Tell us a little about your business. What do you offer, and what makes it unique?

We created a unique sweepstakes room experience to offer a nice place where adults can enjoy themselves.

Our mission was to eliminate the stigma that is associated with "game rooms" by offering a well lit, clean, non-smoking environment with great customer service.  By doing this we are able to help local charities.

We are proud of the contributions to our local charities with tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of cans of foods to the Hutto Resource Center food pantry.

How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?

I have own many businesses and currently own several others, but this journey was different. We started over a year prior to our opening and was looking for and area and location. A lot of Building owners will not lease to game rooms.  Once we set our eyes on Hutto, we found an amazing spot.

How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?

Lucky Hippo opened April 2023.  We chose Hutto because the community is up and coming and needs something that adults can do without leaving town.

What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?

A month after we opened, we had our first customer appreciation party. It was standing room only.  At that point we knew we were blessed to be part of Hutto!

What do you think makes the Hutto community special?

Hippo Pride is not just a mascot, it's a culture.  Not only have we had success with our sweepstakes room, but we have made a lot of great friends.

What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?

Get involved!  Go to events, get out and meet people!  Become part of the community and support local organizations and charities.

When you're not working, where can we find you around town? (Favorite coffee, food, or hangout spots?)

On Wednesday nights you can find me at Fritz Park playing kickball

Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?

April 19th, we celebrated our 2nd Birthday with a customer appreciation party! We would love to invite the community to join us for a great evening of fun, games, food, and prizes!
