Where do Hutto’s happiest pups go to play, stay, and wag their tails all day? 🐾 Camp Bow Wow, of course! This local doggie daycare and boarding facility isn’t just a place for your four-legged bestie, it’s a camp experience complete with indoor/outdoor play yards, 4x6 spacious cabins, and all-day play INCLUDED in the price! 🐾💤

Tell us a little about your business. What do you offer, and what makes it unique?

We are a dog boarding daycare with indoor/outdoor yards where parents can watch their dogs playing all day.  We have spacious 4x6 cabins where dogs can move around when they are boarding.  Our prices are all inclusive, so daycare is included with the boarding price and all day play is included with daycare.

How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?

My husband and I LOVE dogs and when we boarded our dogs at the Camp Bow Wow in Wells Branch, we were inspired to open one of our own.  We love the all day play concept and the large, roomy cabins!

How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?

We opened in April of 2018 and we chose Hutto because it was the most friendly businesswise.  We had no idea the growth would come, but we are happy for all the new neighbors.

What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?

When we did our grand opening, the whole community came out and supported us and made us feel so welcome.  As long-time Round Rock residents, many of our friends attended, also.  That and all the community events help us to grow our brand and community awareness, which lightens our hearts and brings us a lot of joy.

Hutto's growth has not dampened the warm, small town community vibe.

What do you think makes the Hutto community special?

I believe people pick Hutto because when you visit, you immediately belong.  We are all growing together and we have ownership of our community in big and small ways.  Hutto is the biggest small town in the world and it's apparent when you visit or decide to make Hutto your home, that it is a welcoming place.

What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?

Visit like businesses and find out what is helping them to succeed.  I have found that other businesses like to share their successes and are eager to help.  We are all in this together as small business owners.

When you're not working, where can we find you around town? (Favorite coffee, food, or hangout spots?)

I just tried out Jack Allen's and it was amazing.  My church is Crosswalk and that's where my people are when I'm not working at camp.

Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?

Any reason to celebrate, we will do events at camp with the dogs!!!  It's just so much fun to do new agility courses and picture days and even arts and crafts.  If you follow Camp Bow Wow Hutto on Facebook, you'll get an idea of how crazy we are about puppos and doggos.

For April, we are doing Easter pictures and Easter crafts and an Eggs-ceptionally Fun Eggsgility course.  We're having a lot of fun with the Eggstrodinary names, too!
