Tired of using Indeed and LinkedIn? Check out these other alternative job boards. All of these are vetted and serve different communities. So check them out!

Welcometothejungle.com - This just got renamed (terribly) BUT it's an AMAZING resource with one of the best job matching algorithms out there. It has a lot of small to mid-sized companies and well-backed startups - a lot of solid job opportunities there in all areas and the best job matching data. It's my favorite job board for a reason - you'll have to trust me here.

Builtin.com - Tons of tech and a lot of startups as well. It's a great resource for finding various roles in the tech sector and with emerging technologies.

Idealist.org - These are all non-profit jobs and the occasional for profit but do good jobs - they also have internship and volunteer opportunities for those looking for that as well.

Glassdoor.com - They actually have a phenomenal job section where you can easily look up the company and its reviews and their algorithm for matching you to a role is more on point than many other sites. If your job is in a niche field – definitely use this to help you source some options.

TheLadders.com - This is all 100k+ roles - senior level roles, executive and C-suite. Yes, there's a fee, but only for their services, not for basic searches.

Dice.com - This is strictly for tech, engineering and governmental related roles. Pro-tip here – their mobile app is WAY better than their website.

Bluepipes.com - This site is strictly for medical professionals - lots of contracts, but there are definitely staff/perm opportunities there.

Missioncapital.org - Non-profit jobs of all kinds focused and located in Central Texas.

Jobot.com - Recruiting firm - tons of jobs and the recruiter you get is a crapshoot, but some of them are solid.

The Mom Project – While their focus is on parents, they also work with non-parents. They are a company that works with only family friendly companies, oftentimes their jobs are remote, but they are all companies that are amenable to work life balance and balancing the needs of families.

Wellfound - This platform connects job seekers in fields like engineering, product, and design directly with founders at leading startups. It’s known for being transparent about salary and equity, and users can apply for jobs utilizing their profile.

NoDesk.co – Remote job listings from companies from early-stage startups to fully distributed global teams. It offers users curated content on remote work, including expert articles, book recommendations, and a newsletter with new openings and insights.

AustinFreelanceJobs.com – A great resource to position your freelance services for extra cash or to help make ends meet.

JustRemote – A wide array of remote work across all skill levels. The platform allows filtering by country and time zone overlap and prides itself on posting “hidden” jobs. I can’t speak to their “hidden” claim, but they do have some solid postings.

Rat Race Rebellion – They are one of the O.G. remote job boards, but most of their roles are lower paying, data entry and customer service-based type roles. If that’s what you’re looking for though – they’re a great resource.
