The Spark Behind Amore Vacations

I began my career as a travel agent when my children were young. I sought a flexible schedule that allowed me to balance work and family life. I spent several years with a large vacation planning firm. During that time, I gained valuable experience. However, I soon realized I wanted more control over my clients and the destinations I offered. This realization inspired me to start my own business. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

Hutto, Our Perfect Home

I have been a travel agent for 14 years, and this journey has been incredibly rewarding. Although the COVID years posed challenges, I persevered. Three years ago, we moved to Hutto from South Carolina when my husband accepted a position as a professor at the University of Texas. We chose Hutto for its charm, small-town feel, and proximity to Austin's amenities. It's a perfect fit for our family!

Unforgettable Memories

Throughout my career, I’ve experienced many memorable moments. One standout experience occurred with a recent client who took her children and grandchildren on a family vacation to Italy. Their family had ancestral roots there, and they wanted to explore it together for the first time. Coordinating travel for such a large group was challenging, but everything fell into place beautifully. When she returned, she shared how meaningful the trip had been: the memories they created, the joy of discovering Italy, and the special bond formed between three generations. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do.

I’m excited to announce that I’m currently organizing several group river cruises in Europe for next year! I would love for more people to join us. If you’ve never experienced a river cruise, it’s a fantastic way to explore Europe. These intimate ships, usually accommodating around 175 passengers, allow you to visit charming towns each day without the hassle of unpacking constantly. You settle in once but immerse yourself in diverse cultures along the way. It’s truly one of my favorite ways to travel!
