Government and Public Safety:

• Justice Center Bond: Voters will consider a $42 million bond this fall for a new facility near Limmer Loop and County Road 132.

• Fire Station Plans: The Hutto Economic Development Corporation is advancing a new fire station near the Hutto Megasite as part of independent public safety efforts.

• Hutto Annex Offer: The HEDC placed a $2.2 million offer to buy the vacant 9,000-square-foot county annex for public meetings and emergency operations.

Development and Parks:

• 125M Business Park: A proposed 69-acre business park project on the northeast side aims to invest $125 million.

• Retail Growth: Recent project filings include a 5,000-square-foot retail building near University Boulevard and CR 110, alongside new retail developments.

• Parks Investment: The city has invested $13.4 million in parks over four years, earning Tree City USA status for the fifth time.

Education:

• Hutto ISD Budget: Trustees reviewed a proposed 2026-27 tax rate totaling $1.2052 per $100 valuation.

• Facility Updates: High school renovations from the 2023 bond are slated for completion around November.
